Hello all another nubee

I stopped carpfishing around 12 years ago when I moved to newcastle upon tyne from birmingham. Like an idiot I sold all my kit thinking " ah there's no carp up there". I didn't do much research and ended up doing a little fly and sea fishing. Last year for some reason I started doing a little research and found there was actually a few nice waters around which held decent sized fish. I paid a few visits and could of kicked myself...the bug took hold so for the last six months I've slowly been aquiring all the kit again and should be ready to go out for the first time in the next few weeks....can't wait. Any thats my little intro so look forward to speaking with you all hopefully.

I woke up, red eyed, sleeping bag round my ankles in the mud and rain at 3am, with a rod in my hand bent double. Lost the fish (a cat I think) and slept in a muddy bag. Lesson learned: Don't mix weed and wine.
