howdy Campers
just thought i would let you know that between the EA and the Post Office they have managed to make yet another fuk up with this years licences... took me 4 months to get min last year!!!
on another forum a chap tried to buy his licence online just like i did and it kept popping up requesting a security code, and my computers anti virus was saying the site was NOT secure so i tried 2 more times to process my online application, i was not happy with this security code so i went to the post office and bought mine so i had a receipt so i can go fishing
this other fella on another site did the same as me and he has received 7 YES 7 rod licences, i was a lil concerned so i have just called the post office who advised me to speak to the EA on telephone number 08708 506506, they have confirmed that YES they have had yet more problems this year and told me to speak to my bank direct to try find out if they have taken the payment numerous times...
just off the phone from my bank and i am one of the lucky ones who has not benn charged numerous times, just thought i would share this with you all as potentially it could mess quiet a few people up with direct debits and such like Especially if you get paid weekley rather than monthly
i would urge you all to check with your bank to see how many payments have been taken fro your account IF you bought your licence online...

I always fuck up it's only the magnitude that varies! Don't worry as long as you have the till receipt to prove you have paid they should accept it. So why do we need a license? |

You get it straight away really. Its not like u cant fish until it comes through the post. Its only the spacca card bit isnt it really. I wouldnt be fussed as they have got my name and i know i have paid. Still gotta get mine yet though but im not really in the fishing mood at the moment.

Got a mag from the EA yesterday and there is a free lottery based on your license number.
So the more numbers you have the better chance of winning
Is it worth complaining?

Paul.. some waters wont let you fish without a licence or receipt, thats why i ended up going to post office direct to get mine as that way i have a purchase receipt, something you dont get onlie, you are correct tho you are covered straight away to go fishing, just the odd water round here is quiet strict and they request it when you pay for day ticket i wondre what mess up will happen next year....  |

Yeah i know what u mean mate. I think every water should ask to see your rod licence when collecting day tickets etc. We dont like paying it but it takes the piss when we have to pay and then other people are sitting there fishing without one  |
