Landed a lovely 25lb 5oz common in the early hours and a chunck of its tail got ripped off in the pads. Does anyone know if they can grow them back???

Dont think it will grow back as ive had fish in my fish tank where they lost thier pectoral fin and they never had one again. I wouldnt worry too much it will be fine and theres not alot you can do really.

they can to some extent like if they have a infection where it goes fluffy and shreds a bit itl grow back
but not if its a fairly big bit, like theres carp called stumpy and other names that have parts of there fins missing
