Does anyone fish Bluebell, or has fished there in the past?
Doing a 48 hour session down there in a few weeks, and thinking of fishing either Sandmartin or Swan.

I woke up, red eyed, sleeping bag round my ankles in the mud and rain at 3am, with a rod in my hand bent double. Lost the fish (a cat I think) and slept in a muddy bag. Lesson learned: Don't mix weed and wine.

He sounds like a right cunt! I love talking with fishery owners and bailiffs who are nothing but arseholes, it's great fun. The whole time they're thinking they are great, while you nod agree with them and think, "What a cunt." Then when they've fucked off back under the rock they slid out from, you sit there with your mates and rip the shit out of them. It makes blanking quite fun. I can't wait!

I once talked to the head bailiff at Nell Bridge and asked why they had banned boilies in the Specie lake and he said "We don't want the fish to grow too big!!
He was a KNOBHEAD as well!

The owner of Bluebell did turn out to be an arse. My mates arrived the morning after me, and when they went in the shop he didn't even acknowledge them for about 5 minutes. I went to the shop and asked him what features were in front of my swim. "never fished that lake in my life," he said, "I'd never fish here." Really snobby and looking down on you like. He had an attitude a real aura of tosser around him.

It was a gorgeous place. 4 of us went for a social, and 1 other mate who doesn't fish, so we had a great time. I was the only person on the lake to catch in the time I was there, 3 nights and 2 days, a 12.04 mirror. Not a great pic, but it was just a quick snap as hardly a massive fish.
