  In the fishery there are 7 lakes with different anglers in mind for the lakes the first lake upon entry is the “top lake” which is the one of the favoured lakes for the carpers there are carp to 25lb, tench to 5lb and rudd and perch 2lb. The depths in the lake range from 1ft all the way to 9ft in the deepest and it goes to around 3 ft by the central island. There are a few features there are reed beds and “bushes” around the margins, which are noted for the carp later on in the day, and the island that is a natural patrol route for the carp. The “Going” baits at the moment are the maggot feeder favoured for the bigger tench or bright bottom baits for the carp such as yellow boilies or fake corn.   Moving on to other lakes the “Ponds” as the local’s call them are crammed with fish and perfect for a starter, as they are crammed with carp to 20lb tench to 5lb and perch to 4lb 02oz.The rules are the same through out the fishery on all the different lakes. The depths average 3ft but go to around 6ft in certain places. There is an island on both of the ponds and pond 1 has a submerged tree that attracts a lot of tench perch and carp and a certain bagging peg. The best baits are corn for the tench boilies or pellets for the carp and luncheon meat for a mixed bag. Then are the 3 match lakes with match anglers in mind no massive fish but the easiest lakes on the fishery and with a mixture of tench, rudd and carp you wont go wrong. In the matches you need at least 60 lb in weight to compete for a win. There are 2 matches the “A” class, which is £10 entry, and the “B” class that is £5 entry favoured tactics are the pole and corn.
  
  Last but not least the Specimen Lake purely for all the carp boys with a whole 2.5 acres and fish hitting 35lbs in weight and 2 rods for £10 you cant complain with the average size being 16lb.The baits people are using at the moment are the Dynamite range meaty marine boilies or pellets. The lake has a variety of features apart from being like a bowl it has numerous reed beds and is right next door to the owners house and there is also a bridge leading from the house to the lake which carp hang around. The depths range from a foot in summer to around 19 foot at the deepest. Its fished dawn till dusk only and no night fishing is permitted. The majority of the lakes can get quite busy at the weekends depending on the time of year. The majority of angler’s fish with rods but the pole is an “underused” method on the bottom ponds and is highly successful with good angling and feeding. Certain lakes may be classed as runs waters due the popularity of the lakes and amount of fish in them.
